From the twisted mind of Matt Peters comes Brackish, a tale of one man's selfish attempt to regain the past. Jake loses his fiancée Sarah to death and goes into a state of depression. His sister, Tila, and his friends, Chad, Brad, and Beth, try to help him out of it by taking him camping. The five of them decide to camp near a ghost town where Jake and Tila's family is from. The drive there is long, and on the way they meet many of the locals, primarily Collet, resident, Florence and Little Ray, mechanics by trade, and Sheriff Merlock, who keeps the law in those parts. The group is warned that traveling up there may not be safe (it is, after all, a ghost town that has seen many Adirondack winters). After arriving they explore the ghost town and Jake stumbles upon the house of his grandfather. While there, he finds a secret that his grandfather was trying to hide, a secret that could bring his fiancée back from the beyond. The price, though, is steep, and payable immediately.
