The Cast of the Abandoned!
We are pleased to announce the main cast of The Abandoned. There is still one major part left that needs to be played by a very big (tall and muscular) guy and there is also one male (young, 20's or early 30's) role left as well. We are also looking for a few local EXPERIENCED snowmobile riders who have their own snowmobiles (we won't hurt them, we promise). Anyway here is the list...
Starring!
Mark Joseph Peek as Nate, Gloversville
Jessica Lee Lawrence as Emily, New York Mills
Erika Biel as Nina, Utica
James S. Cacciatore as Colt, Frankfort
Co-Starring!
Larry Cicigline as Dr. Gero, Frankfort (he shouldn't be smiling in that photo)
Melissa A. Seelman as Seleace, Vernon
Kenn Pagano as Michael, Gloversville
MaryAnn Myrda as Gena, Utica
Rachel Powers as Alex, Rome

Locations for the Abandoned
We have some great locations planned for the film. We will be filming at Crash's scrap yard in Frankfort, Dari-Del Dairy on Bleeker St. in Utica, and of course, my uncle Jimmy's field in Frankfort (what would a Mad Angel film be without Jimmy's field?). Park Row Books in Clinton is granting us access to their very old and creepy basement. There are a few more that we are going to keep as a surprise.
Music for the Abandoned
We still need original music for the Abandoned! We need independent bands to contribute their stuff to the project. We are pleased to say that Rich Fortuna and The Smalltown Warlords has contributed music from their album: Heathen Machines. You should check out their website here: http://www.richfortuna.com/. Their CD is a great instrumental album and I listen to it in my car all the time. Definitely worth adding to your collection, and I'm not just saying that because they are letting us use it in the film. It's really a great CD (we wouldn't be using it in the film if it wasn't). Lots of people have seen Brackish and its definitely a great way to promote your music.
Brackish on Indieflix.com... Cheap!
If you don't care about the special features, the pretty case and cover, then buying Brackish on Indieflix.com is for you. It is available for $9.95. What I found best is how they rated it. I will give my brief comments of the ratings below.
Heavy Force, violence, and gore
Damn it Kevin, we told you not to pick Dior up and throw him across your sacrificial altar. And what the hell was up with using two quarts of blood while killing Catherine off? Maybe it was Al punching Adara in the face and almost killing her (in real life). Or perhaps the head explosion. The world may never know.
Excessive Language and profanity
Eh, it just sort of happened. It wasn't in Matt's script.
Mild Illegal substances, alcohol, or tobacco
Campfire beer, some pot implied.
Mild Sex and nudity
Very mild, we couldn't get Rachel to take her top off. Then we brought her on-set and she still wouldn't do it.

Why am I on this list?
Because you sent us an email and we love you for it (Seriously, if you see Matt on the street, and tell him that you are on our list, he will hug you, so you may or may not wish to refrain from telling him that you are on our list). If you wish to remove yourself use the links below.
