Mark Joseph Peek as Nate

Mark was born and raised in Gloversville, New York. He received his Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Plattsburgh State University. Mark has been a staple on the community theater stage in Gloversville and Johnstown where he has played characters such as Ebenezer Scrooge and Richard Millhouse Nixon. While attending PSU, he directed for and appeared on the screen many times. Most notably in Always The Girl and Jimmy Jazz which he also wrote. Mark was also a lead player in the Ultimate Terror's haunted house at the Altamont Fairgrounds. Mark would like to dedicate this performance to his fiancée Erin, the love of his life.

 

Jessica Lee Lawrence as Emily

Jessica, a SUNY Cortland Musical Theatre Graduate, is thrilled to be in her first Mad Angel Films Production. Other Credits include Alex J. Wysocki’s film: Quiet Darkness and a Church on the Square concert in The Villages, Florida. Some of her favorite roles include Fantine in Les Miserables and Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along. She was recently signed to Penguin Entertainment in Orlando, Florida. She also is working on original music with her newly formed band, Ophelia’s Looking Glass. She dedicates this performance to her Grandma Schwartz who has always believed in her. Thank you, Grandma!

 

Erika Biel as Nina

Erika Biel currently attends Proctor High School In Utica. She first took the stage at age 8 with the Hartford Players Youth Theatre which she is currently still a big part of. Some of her credits include musicals such as Les Miserables, Urinetown and the Secret Garden to name a few. Also she appeared in Scrooge and Pay the Piper with the Players of Utica. After graduation she would like to pursue a Drama degree at SUNY Oneonta. Her first work with Matt Peters was a short film called La Morte - check out the trailer!! She is looking forward to working with Matt again on his latest film!

 

James S. Cacciatore as Colt

James resides in Frankfort, New York. He majored in speech and drama at Herkimer County Community College and now supervises college clientele in apartment settings. James has performed in several area theater groups involving productions which range from Shakespeare to Neil Simon. His experience includes directing and acting in one production and performing a solo in another.  James is looking forward to being in this, and future, productions.

Larry Cicigline as Dr. Gero

Larry Cicigline, 65, was born and raised in Utica, N.Y. He attended Mohawk Valley Community College and graduated from the New York State Municipal Police Academy. He is a retired Senior Detective with 38 years of service with the Utica Police Department. He was an instructor at the MVCC Utica Police Academy and headed the Utica Police Criminal Investigation Division for several years. This is his second film at Mad Angel Films; he played Jake's Grandfather in Brackish.

 

Kevin McDermott as Lord Knuth

Kevin is 42 years old and grew up in Hell's Kitchen, NYC although he currently resides in Utica. Kevin's acting experience is still very young but he has been involved with community theatre where he was an extra in As Good As It Gets. While living in New York City he would go to many sets of films that were being shot on location. Kevin played Sheriff Merlock in Mad Angel Films' Brackish and is excited to be part of this production as well.

 

Rachel Powers as Seleace

Rachel, 23, graduated from Syracuse University in May 2006 with a B.F.A. in Drama, and is excited to be making her debut with Mad Angel Films. An aspiring actress, she has appeared in various Newhouse/VPA film productions and Syracuse University drama festivals. She is currently living in Rome, New York after a brief stint in NYC, but hopes to end up in LA when the time is right. Besides acting, Rachel's other interests include traveling and politics.  Rachel played the starring role of Tila in Brackish and is pleased to make this appearance in The Abandoned.

 

Kenn Pagano as Michael

Kenn, 23, is currently working towards a General Education degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College. He has acted for Oak Island Entertainment (based in Orlando, Florida) out of Hershey Pennsylvania, for the Haunted Harvest. He recently had a leading roll as Jerry Manders for Altamont Terrors at the Altamont Fair Grounds in Albany New York. Kenn is looking forward to working with everyone from Mad Angle Films, cast and crew.

 
MaryAnn Myrda as Gena

MaryAnn is a native of the Mohawk Valley. After high school, she pursued an education in science and psychology, receiving degrees from MVCC and SUNY Binghamton. While in the workforce, MaryAnn enjoyed many rewarding years as a scientist for Proctor & Gamble, and an addiction counselor for the Chenango Co. Drug Abuse Center. Currently, she is employed by the CNY-DSO as an educator working with developmentally disabled adults for the past eighteen years. An avid cinephile since childhood, MaryAnn regularly attends the Toronto International Film Festival every September. Having been raised with a strong sense of community, MaryAnn supports many local charities and organizations including SEFA, Heart Run & Walk, food bank, and the Utica Public Library.

 
 

Leasha Swartz as Ratchet

Leasha has wanted to be an actress since she was 2. She has taken every opportunity to play in all school plays including Footloose, Hairspray and Anything Goes. She also enjoys singing, dancing and writing music. She is currently very inspired by Ann Hathaway. One day she hopes to become an inspiring actress herself.

 

Gary P. Hood, Jr. as Kent

This is Gary P. Hood Jr.'s 2nd debut with Mad Angel Films, his first being 'Brackish' starring as a blood thirsty zombie. He has performed in musical theater and has done many voice solos as well. His accomplishments include singing for All State, NYSSMA, and with the Potsdam Crane School of Music. His career goals include becoming a part time body guard for Will Smith.
