With this installment of Interviews By Buck we get to see what Chris of Blinky Productions Inc. has to say about things.

Before we get to the questions why don't you tell us about yourself and what you do.

Hey everyone. My name is Chris .R. Notarile of Blinky Productions Inc. I am a filmmaker and fanboy extraordinaire.

1) Ever have any legal issues with your fan films?

No. I have never been sued or asked to remove my work off line. I have been very careful as well as lucky when it comes to fan films and I feel that it's like a balancing act. If you can do it right, you won't fall and break your ass.

2) Where do you stay in the legal gray area of fan films?

I stay in the "until you hire me, I won't stop making these fan films" area. I tell Warner Bros every time I speak with them that exact line.

3) When will we see the Deadpool and the Batman/Punisher fan film?

As soon as I get me some cash. Fan films aren't cheap. And when you're footing all the bills yourself, trying to make a living, you really have to take everything on a case by case basis. Deadpool and Batman vs Punisher are both scripts I have with some serious story and grandiose action. I don't want to short change my film's quality because I couldn't afford something.

4) You do lot of comic book fan films why?

Because they're fucking cool. Why not? ladys worlds finest.jpg

5) What is your fav non Blinky fan film?

That's a good question. I would say Robert Tovani's 2005 Robin. It's like my style and was pretty effective for being made for nothing. I would also say the 2007 Green Hornet fan film. Also very well shot and edited.

6) Can you introduce the chick who plays PowerGirl?

For those of you who don't read the credits, the chick who plays Power Girl is not Katee Stackoff but rather Tawnya Manion. She's very talented and in my opinion the one true Power Girl.

7) How many people did you go thur till you found the person would could fill PowerGirls ..... shoes?

Just her. Tawnya was the second person to respond to my casting on Craigslist in 2005. And as soon as I saw her pictures, I was set on meeting her. And I did. We met in NYC for coffee, I told her about what I wanted to do and she was hooked. We've been a duo ever since.

8) Any chance of you doing a Rom:The Space Knight fan flick?

As I tell everyone who asks- if you fund it, I'll film it. I don't do requests for free.

9) From start to finish how long does it take to make one of your movies?

That depends on the complication level. Most of my short films take 1-2 days. But when it's a drawn out script ie- over 10 pages with lots of scenes and characters. It could take anywhere from a week to a month. Especially since no one gets paid, I'm on their schedules and am forced to set my shoots in between people's day jobs. So yeah, that can definitely drag out the process.
