Summary from IMDB: A group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities are hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must utilize their different talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape the agency forever.

From me: A sci-fi movie that's not going to be good because it sucked but because it's actually good. Feels like a comic book brought to the screen. This is what the tv show Heroes should be like. Played out story but good execution. The movie isn't slow at all, it doesn't even feel like a 2hour movie. Shit that's something The new Batman movies can't say.

Audio:  0/10. Yes that's right I'm giving the audio a fucking ZERO out of ten. Don't get it wrong, the audio was crisp and clean but, the levels were all over the place. The music would overpower the scenes. One sec we have dialog going that we can hear fine then all of a sudden a bunch bullshit house/trance wanabe dj bag of fuck farts takes over and we don't know what's being said. The sound effects were neat....you know when you could hear them over the god damn noise they are PUSHing for music in this film. Normally I would enjoy what they were playing but not at those uneven levels. I think they had a deaf guy as a sound man.

Visuals: 10/10 The backdrop is Hong Kong and if you have ever seen any travel shows you know how rich it is when it comes to looks. There is a gun fight scene without people holding guns, that was just fun to watch. The film itself went from what looks to be top of the line equipment to some 1990's perv in a van handheld cam. It worked out well. Seemed like some of the shots were doing guerilla-style. They had a ton of transitions that worked out well, some fades, some what I can swipes (think of a pic slide) and others that I don't know. Also the use of a fish lens gave some shots more importance than others. It really helped you focus more on the char than what was going on around them.

Writing: 7/10. Like I stated already the story is played out, least to me. The story is something you see in a lot of comicbooks. What you don't see in diff forms of media is how well the chars of the movie were developed. They had background which is more than I can say for some movies I have seen recently. There were some plotholes, but, that's to be expected with a story like this. What I really didn't like was how it ended. It was to much of a cliff-hanger. To many untied strings. If we don't get a 2nd push movie soon (few years) I'm going to be pissed.

Acting: 5/10. Kind of what one would expect, nothing great. They have decent to good actors but it just wasn't anything special. The dude who played The Human Torch from the craptastic Fantastic Four  from a few years back. And guess what all he does is play a toned down ver of the Torch (way less wise cracking). Dakota Fanning also stars in the movie and well I have never seen her in anything before so I wasn't expecting much and that's a good thing, I don't feel that she brought anything to the movie other than her name.

Dir/Ed 10/10. Look up at the visuals and you will get why I gave this a 10 as well.

Bottom line: Even with the audio being a zero it's well worth a rent.
