Mulva 2: Kill Teen Ape! Genre:Comedy/Action Runtime: 62mins Rating: R Entertainment Score: 4/10 Tech Score: 6.2/10 IMDB Score: 3.6/10 (102 votes)
Summary from IMDB: Join Mulva as she rips through victims left and right to get to the notorious Teen Ape - who five years ago shocked her into a sugar coma and stole her Halloween candy. Now she's awake and ready to kill that monkey-man in a splatter-filled action-comedy spoof of the KILL BILL films that will leave you squealing for more!
From Me: A bad ver of a Troma movie. Over the top. It does get right to the point.
Audio: 10/10. The levels are all even, nothing over-powers anything else. Very crisp and very clean. The few sounds that are on the soundtrack remind of the tunes from Dead & Breakfast.
Visuals: 7/10. A lot of cheap effects like: a head flying off of a body due to a fart, an eye getting pulled out of the socket and a ton of blood splatter. Hell there is a chained dildo scene that is real funny to watch.
Writing: 5/10. It's short and to the point. They don't try and fill you up with a ton of back story. The story is basic but it works. The dialog is very weak. The word "cunt" and "bitch" are used so much I think it became an adjective. A lot of one liners and 15yr old humor.
Acting: 3/10. This really isn't acting, it's more like retards fucking. Everything and I do mean everything is over exaggerate. The thing is that's how they were told to act. They have the scream queen supreme Debbie Rochon as the lead and this is by far he worst job at acting I have seen.
Dir/Ed 6/10. Much better dir than one would think considering the type of movie this is. Very little cam movement thanks to the use of a tripod. The dir know where the actors would be and since he was the cam man as well he was able to frame the shots well. The editing could have used some work. Some shots ended to soon or to late.
Bottom line: If you and your friends enjoy Troma movies you may want to watch this.
Note: two weeks off from reviewing has made me rusty. The next one who be a better review
