IMDB Score: Not on IMDB

Summary from IMDB: Not on IMDB. Summary from Low Budget Pictures, the makers of this movie. Thrill a minute laugh riot pays tribute to the films "Escape from New York", "Terminator", and "Total Recall" as Teenape is spring from jail to track down the kidnapped "President of showbusiness" before all of Hollywood crumbles. Crazy out there comedy mixed with high octane action and CG effects makes this LBP movie a MUST see!

From me: Way better than the last LBP flick I watched that's for sure. This is very much a Troma like movie. Craziness and perv dialog run wild.

Audio: 5/10. The audio is crisp and clear but the over all volume was a bit soft. Also the lead actor who plays Teen Ape wares an ape mask so when he speaks it's all muffled. It's like listening to someone who mumbles. The soundtrack is lame, the opening song is sung by an AC/DC sounding band. Normally I would be all for that but they sucked. So LBP is 0 for 2 when it comes to their soundtracks.

Visuals: 10/10. The use of a high end cam really helps here. It looked better than some mainstream movies I have seen recently. It's a great thing to see a low budget company use a cam that doesn't make things all blurry. The effects are quite good for a flick like this. You can tell they use preset cg effects but it really works. They always have heads being torn off, a short, thick red head with a ton of tats and mustache and they use a HAND PUPPET!

Writing: 4/10. Low brow humor mixed with some played out plot equals blow avg writing. This movie is littered with jurk off jokes, gay jokes, and bashing of mainstream movies (that's something I can get behind). The word cunt was tossed around a bit along with bitch and ball and dick and tits and fuck. So on and so forth.

Acting: 3/10. I know for a fact they they went for the whole over acting thing, but it just didn't work very well. It got to be a bit much. Even Troma doesn't do that much over acting. If you want to see what better acting is watch Telemundo or even Skinamax. They should have had half of the cast over act while the other half played it straight then it wouldn't have been half bad.

Dir/Ed: 5/10. Early on in the film there was some unwise framing of the shots but as the movie moved on, it was shot much better.

Bottom line: If you're into B flicks like Troma movies then give this a watch.
