Summary from IMDB: Tim Connolly is a fledgling serial killer of prostitutes. When he falls in love with a new co-worker he believes his life is finally getting on track. When his advances are spurned, Tim goes on a killing spree only one person can stop.

From me: This movie just drags and drags and drags on. The maker of the movie told me that "everything means something in Us Sinners. So druinng sequences, though weird movements have meaning". With that in mind I watched this film to see if those meanings came out to the everyman, a.k.a anyone who did not write this movie. I have to say that I could hardly make out the meanings of this movie. The main meaning is clear but I have a feeling that the meaning is diff to almost everyone who watches it. Even if I didn't watch the movie with what he said in mind, it would still lack an entertainment value.

Audio: 3/10. This is the worst area of the movie. The problem with the audio is that is suffers from the mic being to far away from certain actors when they are talking in a distinctive manner. Arg and the main char talks in that manner for a good part of the movie. A few actors were just to far from the mic.

Visuals: 3/10. It was so hard to make out a lot of the killing scenes due to poor lighting. It was way to dim to make things out or the red light that they used would wash out some of the faster actions. Also the director uses way to many close-ups. It makes the scene feel very awkward and oddly enough when they got that close-up there was a bit of motion blur. It was not really bad but it was noticeable. The parts that you could make out that were "sick" really were fucked up, so once the director gets some more exp with what works and what doesn't in film, that person will be able to do the visuals very well.

Writing: 8/10. The story itself is dull and nothing new. The dialog when heard was very good. There was great char development and when there wasn't any development the chars were so well written that you felt something towards the char. For me it was hate towards the mother in the movie. She spews out all this religious bullshit in such a preachy way I just want to kick her in the face and piss on her wounds. I gave a point or two extra to this area because of the last scene of the movie. I will not spoil it but I will say that I said "THAT WAS MESSED UP!" and coming from me that means something.

Acting: 10/10. By far some of the best acting I have seen in any of low/mirco budget films I have watched. The main actor played the role of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so flawlessly you would think that he was indeed both types of chars. The mother in the movie as stated above really makes you feel something and that's partly due to the writing and mostly due to the actress selling the lines as if she was that person. The rest of the cast just felt so real.

Dir/Ed: 2/10. Like I already said the use of that many close-ups is not needed, this is not a porn. Also the use of the lights were just plan bad. Some of the angles used when filming also added to the awkwardness of the scenes.

Bottom Line: I would not buy this for more than $5 but I would rent from Netflix and I think you should.
