Dance Flick Genre: Comedy Runtime: 83min Rating: PG-13 Entertainment Score: 5/10 Tech Score: 6.6/10. IMDB Score: 2.9/10 (2,000+ votes)
Summary from IMDB: Street dancer Thomas Uncles is from the wrong side of the tracks, but his bond with the beautiful Megan White might help the duo realize their dreams as the enter in the mother of all dance battles.
From me: A spoof from the minds of the Wayans Bros. This time they spoof dance and music movies.
Audio: 8/10. Crisp and clear, just load at points and some of the music in it just wasn't want I liked. They did spoof some songs from 80's movies that I'm sure the teenagers of today wouldn't get.
Visuals: 10/10. Very visual on the gags in this movie. David Allen Grier in a huge fat suit dancing. A stripper scene without any nakedness some air cock licking. Good reproduction of the sets that is this movie spoofs.
Writing: 5/10. It's funny but it's not gutting busting funny. It's a no brainer spoof that pokes fun at teen music movies and dance movies. Since a lot of the laughing comes from the visuals it's hard to give lines from the movie to show how funny it is.
Acting: 5/10. Pretty normal for the type of movie this is. Some over acting some under acting. Some good acting. Plus we get to see about 1/3rd of the Wayans Bros. in this film so you know that's about 100 of them. Hell a Wayans Sister is in it. The lead chick does a good job and looks a lot like Sarah Chalke from Scrubs, a few times I had to do a double take. The other good performance was by get this Damon Wayans Jr. what are the odds of a Wayans being a good actor? Shit pretty damn high actually. I would like to see him do something that shows his acting chops like a drama.
Dir/Ed: 5/10. Normal. Nothing to say about this at all.
Bottom line: Worth a watch if you like comedies.
