Angel of the Month- Jenifer Shout
Jenifer Shout is a 5’10”, tattooed, platinum blonde, experience model & “country girl” from upstate New York. Jenifer has been modeling on and off for over 20 years. She got her start by doing bridal runway modeling for her friend’s relatives Bridal Shop. Instantly she was hooked & knew this was her calling in life!
Since Jen started modeling, she has expanded into many other modeling genres including fitness, horror, boudoir, glamour, pin up, alternative, bridal, commercial, fashion, as well as some acting and she’s not finished yet! Jenifer has been published in approximately 30 magazines between 2012-2016, ranging from Pin-up to glamour, fashion to horror to alternative and everything in between. She also has been published in 3 calendars in the past 2 years including a car calendar she organized & directed for her and 11 other models (available now through her Facebook page! www.Facebook.com/JeniferShout)
Jenifer became an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer in 2016 but has always had a place in her heart for fitness. She is also a model recruiter for companies/fashion shows who are looking for new faces. It’s obvious that Jenifer has a true love of modeling – both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. She also re-creates shirts by up-cycling. You can check out and purchase these shirts through her Instagram (@JennaShout_FitnessFreak) as well as her Facebook page. She has a love for motorcycles, cars (the faster, the better!) 4-wheeling (the dirtier the better), and being surrounded by good friends.
Interview with Jenifer Shout
1) Jenifer, Congrats on being the 1st ever Angel of The Month. How did you get into modeling?
Thank you, Matt, for picking me to be your 1st ever Angel of the Month! I’m honored! I started modeling when I was 14 after a high school friend of mine asked me if I would like to model wedding dresses in a small runway fashion show, for her Grandmother’s Bridal store. I fell in love with it!
2) What are your achievements and goals for Modeling?
I’ve achieved several of my original goals including being published in different magazines and get into some acting. I’m currently looking to expand into producing different themed calendars & helping new modeling talent get into the field.
3) Describe your Personal Style in 3 Words.
Done with Flair!!!
4) What has been your weirdest and coolest shoot you have done?
I’ve done photo shoots in a real life sex dungeon as the background of the shoot (no, you dirty minded readers, it was not THAT type of photo shoot!). I’ve shot in abandoned houses in an abandoned town. I’ve also worked with Emperor Scorpions…. Did you know they glow under a black light? That was a bit unsettling!
5) Favorite movie and actor of all time?
Oh wow! That’s a hard one for me to choose just 1 favorite movie and actor of all time!!! I love Tommy Lee Jones, Sean Connery, Katie Segal, Christina Applegate, and so many others! As for my favorite movie…. I think it just depends on what mood I’m in, really. I really love ANY of the Avengers movies, All of the Star Wars movies (except Phantom Menace!). I love the movies ‘House of 1000 Corpses’, ‘Beetlejuice’, ‘Riding in Cars with Boys’ , & I just recently saw ‘Suicide Squad’ and loved it!!!
6) You have act as well, tell us about some of your experiences.
I love acting! Action movies, horror movies, drama, sci-fi, commercials….. I played the main villain in a horror movie & got to kill off 8 slumber party girls. I’ve been in a steampunk Shakespeare movie, a few zombie movies, a commercial for Zombie Apocalypse Vodka and some other commercials. I’ve shot a few webisodes too.
7) How do you compare modeling and acting? What are their differences?
To me, modeling and acting are actually more similar then not. When I model, I need to become the person I’m portraying. I need to not only embrace that person physically but also mentally to properly portray for the camera the persona that I am taking on. Which is partly what an actor would do for a role…. Only in modeling, there are no lines to memorize ;)
8) What would be your dream project or shoot?
For modeling, my dream project would be on a cruise ship & in the Bahamas. Beach, tropical, sunshine, ocean!!
As for my dream acting role – I would love to work on a period piece like Game of Thrones, or the Tudors. Of course, I would love to have it be a regular role on the show, not just a random chick in a crowd. However, I would also love to play the role of a leather wearing, bad ass biker chick type!
9) What is some advice you would give to people who want to get into modeling?
I would tell them to be careful. Don’t give out your personal information. Take a trusted escort with you to a shoot with a new photographer, just in case. Know the difference between a real photographer and some random dude who owns a camera who just wants to add to his private photo album. NEVER do anything that you don’t want to do. Keep your confidence, no matter what anyone tells you. Try new ideas. And get advice from someone in the business (like me!!!! I’ll always answer questions to anyone new to the business)
10) If you were in a zombie horror movie, what would your weapon of choice be?
I would find a multi-purpose weapon, such as an ax. It allows both long and short range attacks, as well as being a useful tool for survival.
And how long do you think you would survive?
I think I would survive a long time! I’m smart, quick, very strong, & a country girl (plus I hate germs, so I’d stay healthy). I know how to live off the land, I can build a fire, hunt & butcher animals, know what plants NOT to eat and which ones are ok, and unlike most females between 18-40, I can cook! Plus I don’t trust most people as it is, so I wouldn’t surround myself with unnecessary idiots like most of the characters do in popular zombie TV shows and movies.
